LANGUAGE CLASS ACTIVITIES

This section is for our FLAP teachers to share some fun language learning activities. The activities have been divided into  comprehensible input and guided/independent practice activities, partially based on the five-step communicative lesson plan (a common lesson plan format used by world language teachers). While some of the activities are neither 100% culturally authentic, nor do they replicate real-life situations, we feel they may still provide fun and useful practice to students. For advanced teachers, we recommend attempting to adapt the activities so that it may be more culturally authentic/real-life to your target culture. We found these activities to be useful practice nonetheless.

We ask try to have our activities apply to as many languages as possible, although this is sometimes difficult. Sometimes linguistic terms are used, but we always try to define them and use them in an understandable manner. .
